New Products Announced!

I have been EXTREMELY busy as of late, what with summer vending events and all. But what I haven't been extremely forthcoming on is the fact I've been busy in my manufacturing space as well!

I have developed a few products in the last few months that I've been testing out. There's actually a process I follow now for developing new products, one that I'll be sharing soon in a behind the scenes kind of thing.

Essential Blends: Prediluted Aromatherapy

For years I've been making my Natural Blends Body & Room Sprays. Unfortunately some of the oils I've been using in my custom blends have skyrocketed in price (here's looking at you sandalwood!).

My focus began to shift to the aromatherapy benefits of oils, rather than just smelling good. So now I've introduced prediluted blends in a convenient roll-on application. All blends are diluted in a grapeseed oil carrier.

Allergy Support

Rosalina, fir, lavender, Egyptian geranium, blue tansy & rose.

Anxiety Ease

Sweet orange, cedarwood, frankincense, patchouli & ylang ylang.

Headache Relief

Peppermint, lavender, eucalyptus, spearmint & rosemary.

Respir-Clear

Eucalyptus, peppermint, scots pine, lavender, black spruce, cypress & marjoram.

Woman Balanced

Clary sage, lavender, Egyptian geranium, bergamot & ylang ylang.

Rough Stuff

Rough Stuff is a rich cream developed for those needing support with eczema. However when it was in it's testing phase, I used it for some extra dry skin patches I had that aren't eczema. WOW. Absolutely amazing.

Even better? The pictures from one of my testers showing the before and after while using it on her skin. I'm hoping to share those pictures with you soon, because the transformation is incredible.

What it Contains

I did a LOT of research into what ingredients are proven to aid with eczema and psoriasis. The main recommended ingredients for a natural product that kept coming up were licorice root, fatty acids, calendula, colloidal oatmeal, and vitamin D.

Eventually I may add an "extra strength" version that contains additional hemp CBD extract. If you have some at home, you can add a few drops into the Rough Stuff as you use it. Don't have any at home? This Classic Full-Spectrum oil I carry is perfect to use.

Rough Stuff ingredients are as organic and non-GMO as possible: coconut oil, beeswax, infused hemp oil (licorice root), infused olive oil (calendula), colloidal oatmeal, sunflower lecithin, vitamin E oil, vitamin D oil in an MCT base.

What it Doesn't Contain

This cream features no essential oils in it, as they can often cause reactions for those with sensitive skin. Down the road I may introduce a different version with added oils for those with slightly more tolerant skin.

As always, I don't use chemical emulsifiers or preservatives in Simple Apothecary's handcrafted products.

Simple Salve

If you have young children or extremely sensitive skin, then Simple Salve is what you will want to have on hand. This was developed for a customer of mine located right here in Red Bluff with a toddler son with extremely sensitive skin.

This basic all-purpose salve is incredibly soothing to chapped skin or minor cuts and scrapes, but simple enough to work on almost any skin. Absolutely safe to use on small kiddos. I've even used it on my cat when she scratched her chin!

What it Contains

You really can't get any more basic and simple than this! The dandelions were even collected in my shop yard.

Simple Salve ingredients are as organic and non-GMO as possible: coconut oil, unrefined shea butter, beeswax, infused hemp oil (dandelion, plantain), and vitamin E oil.

What it Doesn't Contain

This cream features no essential oils in it, as they can often cause reactions for those with sensitive skin. As always, I don't use chemical emulsifiers or preservatives in Simple Apothecary's handcrafted products.

Tattoo Goo

My husband is a collector of tattoos, so I naturally was curious to see what was in the salve he purchased online for them. While he did choose a natural salve (he's learning!), I couldn't believe the cost of it. Almost $30 for an ounce! That's ridiculous, especially as the ingredients were nothing special.

I've created my Tattoo Goo to be perfect to use while healing from a fresh tattoo, helping to keep it moisturized and bacteria free. It's properties also help to maintain the color of tattoos you already have. Don't stop there though- it's safe to use on minor cuts, scrapes and chapping as well.

What it Contains

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at the ingredients compared to the cost! This is a great balance of effectiveness and usability, without adding super-high end ingredients that really aren't necessary.

Tattoo Goo ingredients are as organic and non-GMO as possible: coconut oil, refined shea butter, beeswax, infused hemp oil (dandelion, plantain), sunflower lecithin, vitamin E oil, lavender and tea tree essential oils.

What it Doesn't Contain

Super high-end and expensive ingredients that aren't even necessary for fresh tattoos. As always, I don't use chemical emulsifiers or preservatives in Simple Apothecary's handcrafted products.

Call for Availability

These products are so new, I don't even have them up on my website yet! If you'd like to purchase them for yourself, just give me a call or send me an email. I'll have them up online soon, once I have their new labels finalized.

What are you excited to try? What else would you like to see me make? Let me know in the comments!
